I thought they were reproing both convertible and hardtop trunk lids. The Parts Place has a part number (BP1253T) but no price.

Don't thank me unless they actually have it. Vendors often place listings for things they don't have yet but are planned for the future. That may be why there's no price yet.

Place a "wanted" post here and see if someone has one. A good rust free original deck lid will fit better than a repro one.

1) please share how you got that info
2) WTH good is a RUST ROT decklid [final entry] - that we already GOT. If folks are buying rust, I am rich and will retire now.

Alfadog, have you tried Memory Lane Collector Car Salvage yard in Wilmington, CA? 310-513-7036.

Never-ending Parts/whatever search

I've found a web-based search engine that is very helpful. Sometimes it provides stale links , but I think that is an artifact of the way the engine works (probably searches caches, rather than "live" sites is my guess). It can search ALL nationwide Craigslist ads, as well as a few other online classified ad sites (including ePay). It is at www.searchtempest.com. You can put in your search string, then your location/ZIP/etc., then select how far of a distance from your location you want to search. It has located me many items in the past including my most recent purchase of a 1970 455CID complete running engine plus trans originally from a Toro for $500.

Happy Hunting!

That's because all those "convertible" trunk lids you see for sale came off of four door cars.
