I am putting the chrome 3/4" strip back on that goes down side of the car over the aluminum trim. Since I didn't take this car apart I do not have the original clips. Several of these molding clips (4 on the door and 8 in the quarter panel). are unique in that you cannot access the back of the clip. The original were screw to the body (see pic) and look like they were rectangular based on the outline on the aluminum from the old clips. My 60 olds has what looks to be a similar clip which are push in rather than screw on. I assume it's a nylon clip that the molding snaps over. Anyone out there know where I can get a replacement? Fusicks and Restoration Specialties and supply do not seem to have anything that works.
