1972 rear Quarter skins vs Cutout

Does anyone have experience with rear quarter skins? The quarters on my 2 are shot and I'm debating on purchasing skins on Ebay or having the damaged metal cut out and replaced. What's the best way to go?

Link to skins:

Thanks

IMO, you're going to have metal cut out either way you go. I'd try to go with the least amount of cutting possible. How much of the quarter panel needs replacing will be the determining factor on going with patch panel or full skins. Also keep in mind that if the inside metal pieces (floor drops and inner/outer wheel housings) are rotted, it's a lot more work than just the outer skin.

Can you post pics of the damaged areas?

Those panels you posted the link for? Just for skins you can get them for a lot less money.

I am in the same boat. I plan on cutting off and doing the skins. I also have work on the inner fenders. I 've been told to mount doors and brace the inner walls of the body. Mine is also off frame.
