1970 Cutlass Supreme body molding

I had my quarters replaced and the new skins don't have the pins to mount the wide body molding. Has anyone ever used the 3m body tape to put these back on?

Do it the right way - get a trim rivet tip for a stud welder.

Joe P's way is the correct way. However, in a pinch, I have used the below option also with no issues. It looks like the same nailhead type tab you would spotweld on, but has sheetmetal threads for installation. You drill a small hole and screw these in. I used Cosmoline on the threads to prevent rust. Part# H137 from Auto metal direct.
