Back ground on the car/situation. My dad and I built the car/motor when I was a kid. Due to both of us being military and moving a lot we sold the car to a friend/mechanic about 14 years ago. Due to an illness and passing of our friend I got the car back. His wife told me the car had low oil pressure so he kept it in town and didn't drive her much. In the 14 years he put just over 3k miles on the car.
That said I got her loaded on my trailer and noticed good psi on start then fell off to about 5psi in a couple min. I found a mechanical fuel pump leaking into the crank case. Drained refilled and drained my oil again and while I didn't see any metal dust (real fine metallic tint) in the oil it's self. There was quite a bit in the filter. See pics.
The little bit I ran the car she seemed to run great. No smoke etc. I'm sure with my luck I've got a main/rod/cam bearing issue. I'm just wondering what the chances are that the car sat enough that the flake could be related to that?
Assuming I have good oil pressure I may put a few hundred miles drain and take a sample for a Blackstone report?

That might be lead from fuel. I have seen gray spooge all over the main cap bolts of engines that were still in good shape but very old.
I suggest a bearing inspection and go from there. Might be as simple as new bearings if the journals are not wasted. Or, MAW your way into a $8k new engine, your call on that.

Took an oil sample and let it settle. Had quite a bit of silver dust in the bottom. It's all magnetic so I'm assuming it's not bearings. I had to start her up for another issue and decided to take a vid of the oil pressure gauge. This is on a cold motor. It's about 100 deg ambient in my garage. It's from idle to about 1000 then 1500 rpms.

Ya what m371 said. Carefully cut it open and see how much is in the filter. Cut at the top by the metal lip with a filter cutter or a hack saw. If its a lot of metal time for a teardown/inspection.
