Should I keep the small block?

Curious folks.

Have a 71 Cutlass conv. A few years ago, something went wrong with the stock 350. Instead of rebuilding the stock 350, I had a 1970 W30 455 custom built.

As I have been making repairs, I have saved all the original parts, including the block. Theory being, that if any one ever wanted to purchase the car, they could have the correct matching numbers, etc.

I am going to have to pay $ 50.00/month starting in June to store the block, so I am wondering if saving the original motor fiscally makes sense?

Any thoughts.... Thanks.....TimothyPaul

Thoughts:

1. Financially, it is absolutely not worth it.
What's it going to add to the value of a regular Cutlass? A grand or 2? You'll be down that much in a couple of years.

2. $50.00 a month to store the block?!? That sounds insane.
It's not THAT large - you could just stuff it in the back of a closet or something.

3. If you DO want to get rid of it, depending on the usual variables, I might be interested in it.
