'70... 455 harmonic balancer(bad vibes)

Hi Guys, I got a vibration in my freshly rebuilt 70 toro w/455, In netural and driving.... I'm looking for the many things that can cause that and have addressed most....I bought this car with the engine apart which it had been since 1978....along with the car came some new in box G.M. parts including a new vibration damper The old damper was gone so I'm not sure why the deceased p.o. had bought it, but I used it thinking he got it new at the dealer and it should be right for this 455...when installed I cannot see the part # if there is one stamped anywhere on it and of course since I did'nt see this coming I threw the box out that had the p.n. printed on it.....I've seen a lot of guys saying they're all the same for small blocks, big blocks pontiacs some chevys ect....but I have also seen a few guys say 68-72 Olds 455 only....sooo, first, where's the part # on the damper and what should that number be?...second... what's the consensus on the application(s) and who's used one say from a 350 on a 455?...if this ain't whats causing the vibration I'll probably have to change the flywheel and converter, I tried to separate the converter and run it but the weight on the flywheel kept hitting the mount pedistals on the converter and I really could'nt run it long enough to tell if bad vibes were still there...I'll appreciate some good imput ....thanks!
