''65 425

Is the 1965 425, a good engine? Performance pro's and con's? Thank you for your input! It's greatly appreciated!

Yes it is, very similar to 400 and the 455.

As stated, yes it is a good engine. The 425 has a forged crank, with shorter stroke than a 455 which limits the torque slightly but can rev quicker (assuming similar internal components), and uses 7" rods for a better rod/stroke ratio. It's effectively a bored out early 400 engine, which is the engine that made the mid-60s 442 famous.
