I just love this idea --especially with an oldscadiac project in mind.
A local chap was explaining he did something similar to this I believe but I took little notice upon perusing the general state of his vehicle .
What do you think ??(before I dive in !! )

Interesting idea. I have a set of headers and a nice plasma cut set of header flanges that I was going to use to fabricate headers to fit the 455 in my '46. I just didn't know how in the heck I was going to do it. I need fender-well headers and there is a tight fit on the driver's side where the steering column comes within about four inches of the exhaust port, maybe a little closer. Somebody with fabrication experience probably has done this before, in fact I am sure of it. I have seen a few posts over at HAMB on this exact subject, some with very good pictures too. But obviously the person that did that was an experience fabricator/welder. They turned out beautiful. Maybe I could find the post and link it...
