What do you engine guys think about all this?

What about it? Nothing painfully wrong given it's a TV clip. They always make hilarious mistakes or cuts for time.
Good to see Joe at work. This clip was recorded quite a few years ago now.
Mondello's work on Olds has been well known for decades. Most of his ideas and most of his work was great and he was a huge benefit to the Olds community.
He did make some mistakes, like he bought into the solid main web 403 theory, and really likes cam bearing restrictors.

So many mistakes in this video;
They state valves are 2.19/1.88. NOPE those are BBC sizes. These are 2.07/1.68, Joe was probably drunk when he did that segment.
They say the cam is a hyd roller, it’s not, it’s a flat tappet.
Hole in the vacuum advance line? Vac advance doesn’t work under load, like when you’re doing a dyno pull.
And it’s now a 461, so they DIDN’T make 1hp per cube after all.
i used to be able to pick out goofs in virtually everyone of these shows back then, horrible writing.

When it comes to machine work and rebuilding engines I know enough to keep me out of trouble. Its the latest products, techniques and theory that interest me to get the most bang for the buck. I continue to listen to critique of the videos by people more knowledgeable than myself as to what is right and wrong.
It is interesting though.

Take ANY "stock" carburetor out of the box, do they limit performance ?
