Waterpump pulley from sbo to bbo problem
My bbo have an shorter waterpump than my SBO 307 havr, so the pulley is to deep, where could i get the correct pulley if so?
Well i can for sure just swap over the waterpump from sbo to bbo block too, but my rope is not on stright line and never have been on the sbo cause of some strange alternator bracket setup on the right side of engine.
So my tought was to try out a pulley that with the short type watrrpump, and since it sound good too.. My waterpump on the sbo is not old either.
Or could is just cut of the inner rope line on pulley wheel so it will possible not hit the waterpump wall?

The pulleys and accessory brackets need to match the water pump, not the engine. Get the pump and pulleys that match the accessory brackets you are using. All Olds water pumps fit both BBO and SBO. If you used the 307 brackets on the 455, use the 307 pump and pulleys.

Ok isee, Well I found out the waterpump on the bbo is just above 5.5" long, and my waterpump on sbo is about 6,5" long, i found out i need a 3" deep pulley to use on the 5.5" pump,.
Or i need to swap over the pump and use the pulley i allready have, it should fit the crankpulley, maybe space it out just a little, i dont want to use the big crank pulley from the 307, its not in balance either and shake a lot, the bbo crank pulley is smaller and i may need a shorter v-belt if so,
i try to match up the waterpump yesterday to see if the pulley comes on line with the bbo crank pulley. Cause i Keep saving on my old waterpump i replace on the 307 last yr.
And since the bbo crankpulley have smaller dim i will have more speed on my PS pump and alternator i guess.
I only have use the two inner v-belt groove btw. One Main belt, and one extra v belt from crank to waterpump pulley, my alternator and PS pulley have never been on line with the WP and cs pulley before eitheR.
