Wanting a new intake manifold, need advice!

Hey guys so I'm looking to get a new intake manifold for my 455 1968 Toro. The current one is very low profile and will not fit my edelbrock carb without two spacers and now I've got air cleaner hood clearance issues.

Any ideas guys?

There is a reason it is low profile....hood clearnace is minimal and it was the only one that fits with stock carb and air breather...but I heard someone is making an aluminum intake low profile but I dont know who.

Wow. Talk about a lot of work for a very limited production item.

Quite cool.

It is cool...but it no additional performance gain over stock. It just alleviates a problem with heat riser passages. Hmm...I don't know that I'd spend $600 if I didn't have a problem w/ warped quadrajet.
