Over the years Van Senus has done a good amount of quality work for me and my friends, however, I have never had their machine shop work on my Olds. Also since it’s been awhile since I’ve been there I don’t know if the old machinists are still there. I always had Don do work. If he’s still there I think he would be honest with you about what he can do.

I'm with tmaleck, it's been probably 25+ years since I've used their services. I'm still relatively local, but didn't know they were still in business. I have someone I can ask.. if I can provide useful feedback I'll post again.

Just a thought.....I know it's going to be a few months before everyone brings their cars out.....Once the cruise nights begin in Crown Point, Valpo, Wicker Park. or the Blue Top in Highland you should have no shortage of potential reviews. BTW one of the first events is in Munster early in May.

I don't remember the exact year but 5-8 or so years ago,the Van Senus family sold the name and stores to a parts store chain, then they started getting lower quality parts to sell.
I just noticed they have a facebook page with a couple reviews from as recent as 2018 and 2019,both negative.
If you scroll through some of the older posts, one person says none of the same people are there anymore.
I would research then proceed with extreme caution.
Since your near Gary I'm surprised you don't check into using Rhyne racing.

I used to use Van Senus when Bill was still running the shop. But since he retired I haven't gone back. They used to haze me for being a Olds guy, lots of words were exchanged most was in l fun. Plus I haven't needed any machine work done in at least 10 years.
