Valve Spring Seat Depth

Hi, I am wondering how much material can be removed safely from the factory Valve Spring Seat pockets to get desired spring Installed Height? The heads are 1968 C heads. Thanks!

You are probably better getting different springs.

.070 before you hit water HOWEVER, depends on core shift. You could have a thin casting or a super thick one. I know .070 because I dug .100 and tore right through the pocket.
