Throttle cable issue

Ok, I went from 350 2bbl to 455 with a torker intake with a q-jet on top, is there a way to adjust the throttle cable? It seems as if there are 2 issues, first is, there is not enough length to from firewall to holder on carb, which is holding the idle at 1100 rpm. Second is in driver compartment, the cable inside seems to be to long, it won't pull the secondaries open, I actually put a 1" long spacer between the end of cable and spacer to get it to open the secondaries. Is there adjustment in these cables?

The 2 bbl cable & 4 bbl cable are different lengths & when you add the intake height difference from stock, you may have to play around with a few different ones or take some good measurements. Also the 2 bbl cable bracket at the carb. is different than the 4bbl version. I have any/all parts & can try to help you.
