TCI Rattler balancer?
TCI Rattler balancer?
Where would you rank the TCI Rattler balancer?
I know the ATI is ranked best of all but I think it is more balancer than I need.
One vender has the Rattler on for around $250
At that price piont is it good value or is one better off with a other brand like BHJ.
Is the Rattler
Good ?
fair ?
poor ?
Engine is a 455 with a max rpm of 5700 rpm street car with a little track time.

Thanks for the reply Danny. Thats a lot more rpm than my 455 will ever see. Do you have a lot of passes on the balancer and engine? Have you looked at the bearings since running the rattler how did they look?
Thanks

Hey Bernhard
My combo was full on race. Billet Crank and Alum Rods at BBC bearing sizes. I did pull the motor down after about 80 runs...combination of Drags and Dyno...everything looked fine running .003 clearance on Rods. Obviously this is a very lightweight rotating assembly, but it was pushed hard with no issues. Just by way of comparison my '70 Post car runs the BHJ and has over 500 passes. I always cut apart my Oil Filters at change time...no indication of any probs so far.
