I finally cleared some engine stands in my garage.
I have a couple engine blocks that need inspection and bore measurements.
They have both been sitting in a garage for years and have some rust in the cylinder bores...they are just blocks with cam bearings installed.
I want to clean up the cylinder walls and main caps and get some measurements.
Fine emery cloth?

I think I would use a lot of WD-40 and a ball type hone. (dingleberry)
