Rebuildus interruptus

My first rebuild is almost complete, but I now have to let it sit for at least a month before I can get back to it. I'm a builder and started a project that needs to be done by Thanksgiving and will be b@lls to the wall for a while. My life keeps getting in the way of my fun. Anyway, I have the engine back together and in my Cutlass. Heads, manifolds, water pump (no coolant yet), no carb, no generator, no HEI. The new cam is well greased w/ lube as are the rockers and lifters, and the engine has been hand cranked one revolution to get #1 to T.D.C. Cylinders untouched since back from the machinist. Plugs are in. Crankcase is filled with Comp Cams break-in oil, and the oil pump has been primed, with oil flowing thru all the rods. Should I squirt some oil in the cylinders? The car is in a dry, semi-heated garage. Am I O.K. as is? Oil it? I'm so close I can taste it! ARRRRGGGHHH!

Be it 1/2 hour a day, I'd be out there working on it - that's too close!

Mine sat for three years before I even primed it, another 6 months before I started it. You'll be fine

You should be fine. Wrap it in plastic and tie tight around the engine stand

Already primed. No need to worry about it. Remove the lift plate and seal off the carb and dizzy points and it will be fine.
