Radiator shroud or no?

Got a 4 core aluminum radiator with dual 13" Spal fans. Someone told me I no longer need to run a shroud but I don't believe him,I've seen a few pics on this site as well as r.o.p of cars with electric fans and no shroud.

What's the deal? Should I run one or not?

Thanks

For the street you are gonna need it . I had a flex fan , no clutch just the top of the shroud the very very top to protect my hands from the fan. My car always ran hot. 180 while driving 210 at a light. I went to clutch unit and shroud with stock fan. It made a world of diffrence. Just my experience. I also had 2 electric fans Infront of the radiator pulling air in and it worked great for track use but didn't make a diffrence they had no shrouds.

No shrouds for me. Cool as a cucumber in traffic on a 100 degree day. You and I have the same setup thereabouts. Runs 180 all the time.
