Quadrajet advice jets/rods

Hello all,

I recently had my 455 rebuilt .30 over with a mild cam upgrade.

I realize I now have to get into my quadrajet and play with the jets and rods. I am looking for all the experience out there on what size to start with and also what the stock sizes were for reference.

Carburetor 70229251

stock cam: 220/222 472/472 113LSA
new cam 224/234 496/520 112LSA

Thank you

Mark

I used cliff ruggles book and the tech paper by Lars off the Corvette forum it lists all the jet surface areas and rod thicknesses. I had the same problem on my 75 350 when I changed the heads , intake, cam and went dual exhaust. Ran way too lean. Get the good jets and rods.

Don’t go any further until you get one.
