Push rod length

What have some of you ended up with for pushrod length on a 455 build ? I have aluminum heads with roller rockers and we went through the process and came up with a rather long length . The length we came up with for proper geometry is 10.100 long . My friend thought that was a very long length .

The proper length is whatever gives you the shortest sweep across the valve tip. Mine are 9.95 if I remember correctly but that doesn't mean yours won't be different. Different lifters, cam base circle, rockers and cylinder head type can all skew what size is best for you.

Well aware of the variance from setup to setup . Just want to make sure I am not way out in left field :-) .
