Power steering pump pulley
I have a 1967 Cutlass with a 1969 455 in it. I need to replace the power steering pump pulley 2 groove. Am I looking for a stock 1967 pulley or a pulley for the 455 which is not original. Will any other years work. Thanks.

Also if you can clean yours up to find any numbers/letters stamped in them. Chris (Octania) has created a real nice spread sheet showing what pulleys came on what years/engines. We might be able to key out what you need from that.

Yup. Those are the codes.
Contact Octania to see what he can tell you about the proper P/S pump pulley.
I'm not sure whether the same pulleys were or were not used with some of the '67-earlier vs the '68-later setups, so it would be good to know which type of pump you have.
A picture would be great.

'68+ PS pump
KH is a common 2g pulley
why do you need one?
Easy to bend them trying to remove, if of the era before a puller lip was present.
I have 1 or 2 handy on the shelf.
Always some on epay, sometimes on the pump for cheap.

Your next step is to identify if your pulley is held on with a nut, and therefore is keyed to the shaft, or is a press fit and has no nut on the shaft.

Octania, so I have a 1967 cutlass with a 1969 455 and a 1968 power steering pump? There is a knock or rattle from the power steering pump or pulley figured the pulley may be warped. would a 1968 KA pulley work since the pump is a 68?

You have a '67 car with '69 engine, accessories, brackets, and pulleys.
The configuration of the brackets had a major change for the '68 model year. There are variations after that, but they are relatively minor.
Here's a '67 engine:
Here's a '68 engine:
Here's a better picture of a '68 engine:
A rattling or knocking sound from your P/S pump may well be a loose pulley - if the nut is loose, remove the pulley, clean up the bore and the shaft, reinstall, and make the nut good and tight and see if that cures it.
