had previous help on the correct pcv grommet and got that replaced along with correct valve but notice now when running the hose is collapsed. do I have too flimsy a hose or is something else going on? the only reason I had to replace the pcv was I was just checking things and decided to pull the old one and saw sludge in bottom of it. This led to removing the cover to make sure I hadnt bought a car knee deep in sludge. Once off the cover was spotless and valve train area also, no sludge at all. so cleaning the area from grommet area down with B12 I saw some light sludge coming from under the tray that is welded into the cover that keeps oil from being sucked into PCV so I soaked cover and cleaned until all was good under the tray. So now I am checking for leaks after putting cover back on and see the hose collapses. if it did this before my cleaning I never noticed. all ideas will be appreciated. See pic what is wrong with this hose and valve?
thanks for pic. I found that hose and ordered it. About the pic, I wish my engine color was correct for the 442 as yours is. Mine is Cutlass gold. So far everything else is correct about the engine so until I win the lottery or the engine fails I aint painting it. Thanks to all, Mike
