Angry part # for head bolts for 67 400ci

The ARP bolt (180-3600) DOES fit.

wrong size bolts in box sent by catalog supplier.

Edited post so no one got wrong info on the #.

I'm no machinist, but these head bolts look like 3/8" to me. ARP catalog is 7/16" (and 1/2" for later motors). The ARP bolt (180-3600) does NOT fit (ask me how I know!)

Does anyone have a CORRECT part number/vendor for 67 400 head bolt set?

Thanks,
Dan,

All 64-76 Olds motors use 7/16" head bolts. ARP kit 180-3600 is the correct P/N for a 67 400 motor. Have you tried starting the bolts in the block without the heads in place?

Thanks Joe:

MYSTERY SOLVED....

I went to hardware store and measured the bolts. Correct Box and part number. Box says 7/16". The bolts inside are actually 1/2" coarse.

I measured my own head bolts, they are 7/16" coarse.

Well, I'll ship them back to Summit and more lost time...
