Got a Accusump oil accumulator kit (3qt) and was thinking of mounting it on the inner fender. Friend of mine says that's a bad idea as I might warp the plastic fender with the weight of the accumulator and heat from the engine bay. Any thoughts? Any one try it? I would mount it on the firewall but space is limited...

 

Mines mounted on the fender well but it is steel.
