Hello fellow Oldsmobilists,

I've been on a hunt for just regular cast rods for my '65 425 engine. The only rods I've been finding are either steel billet or aluminum rods and I dont need anything crazy like that. This isn't a drag motor and wont see high RPM either. Just need a nice set of rods. If anybody has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated!

You don't want "cast" rods for anything anyway.
The stock forged stuff is fine for a mild street build. Reuse yours or find a used set somewhere and have them reconditioned.

Thanks for the input. And its pretty funny because he just got ahold of me telling me he has rods.

 

I also have some 400-425 stock forged rods (7" center to center).

 

I have a set as well if anybody reading this is in need.
