OE Chrome Oil Filler Tube ?

Was at a local car show and a guy I know who's pretty knowledgable (not the usual car show know-it-all) about GM cars asked me what year did Olds begin chroming the oil filler tubes on the 455's. I said I didnt think Olds ever did, but I now have a vague memory of seeing a couple of 72 Hurst Olds equipped like that. He said he had several mid 70's Oldses with the chrome neck. Anyone know the real story?

He's confused I'd say. I belive the '70 pace car, the actual track car, & maybe the back up track car, had chromed engine brackets, air cleaner, valve covers, etc... but other than that, I don't think any Oldsmobiles ever had chromed oil fill tubes. I'm sure someone on here knows more than me though.

The only ones I can think of offhand were 61-63 Starfire 394s, and I'm not 100% sure on that. The "specials" such as track duty Pace Cars and show cars were pretty much one-off jobs.
