Hi all, The oil pressure on this was 40 psi. Then go to 10 long story short
Last time it went back for the spring he said oil pressure if fine,
Well I notice a puff of smoke the other day,when I started from cold start, the lifters were making noise oil pressure goes to 40 then back to 20 come to a stop goes to 0 then 10,
I changed the copper tubing on the gauge I thought it was bent ,anyway put a nylon on same pressure,I get in the car today started up 40 psi lifter noise not bad put you can here it,go for a ride noise goes away I'm doing 55-60 the oil pressure gauge floating around 20 no lifter noise now,I checked the oil 3 times I seen pieces that look like Crome 1st time for that car is not using oil,
So I guess I'll call the builder mon It runs fine but something not right,I thought I heard a slight grinding noise from the bottom not sure if it has anything to do with it very faint when cold.
What do you guys think

Cut open the filter, that'll tell you everything you need to know.

I talked to mike he wants the oil and filter so it's getting changed tomorrow

Went to change the oil and filter now engine builder is going to pick it up,and go from there, What would cause a lifter noise,yesterday was fine today I started it and tapping away oil pressure to 40 tap almost 5 miles then stopped wtf is going on here,I put classis car oil in it 15w -40 motor oil with zinc,what do you guys recommend this stuff is $7 a qt

i'm just curious, did you follow the cam break in procedures when you first fired up your engine?

 

They oil it up to 2000 rpm I think the bearings are screwed up ,because it make a noise lifter noise sometimes,Mike says the oil pressure is fine I say BS ,
I have to wait till the send the. Oil out to See what's in it,
