my 455 build

I posted this (below) a few days ago in the "What have you done to you Oldsmobile today". I started this build last Oct. with posi rear (built), 455 Block and TH400 core from Brian Trick.

I fired her up and had an oil leak, more than just a drip). It was from the intake, Block and Head junction, which I thought I sealed well with Permatex. I found a Cavity there with no permatex almost 1/8" dia.. After using a small jewlers file and degreasing 10x with pipe cleaners, I gave it the money shot with Ultra Blue. Waited 24 hours. Holy Freaking crap. It's leak free.
Anyway, very pleased with CO for all you guy's have taught me in all the threads I've read. Tuning and exhaust left. I'm really excited.

New 455
Firing up the new 455 this afternoon. Fingers crossed.
This was a ground up 455 build. I Swapped out a 350 in my '72 Cutlass.
I did most of the assembly myself.
Credit to StickW31 for general guidence and machining contractor.
Cutlassefi for Cam and valve train parts .
Cutlassfreak for inspiration to do home porting. I'm excited but almost sad this part is coming to an end. Like Macadoo, "Having a blast".
Wish me luck.[/IMG]
