To much Cam?

My recent E-Bay purchase came with many pleasant surprises:

1976 455 F block
N -Nodular crank
L2323 .030 Forged Pistons
Reworked J heads
Accel HEI distributor
Lakewood Bell housing
Torker intake
Holley 3310 750 double pumper vacuum secondaries.

It has a Crane 804551X Grind no. HIT-282-2 cam in it.
Here are the cam specs:

Lift: opens closes
Intake 491 Adv. duration 282' 32.0 BTDC 70.0 ABDC
Exhaust 518 " " 290' 76.0 BBDC 34.0 ATDC

Lift @ .05 Opens Closes Max lift Duration
Intake 8.0 BTDC 38.0 ABDC 105' ATDC 226'
Exhaust 52.0 BBDC 2.0 ATDC 115' BTDC 234'

This is going in my 1968 442 Convert, it has a M21, 3:42
gears, and eventually Hooker Headers with 2.5" Exhaust. Currently running manual brakes, but may switch to power.

I'm assuming this is going to be way too much cam for the street.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

What about regrinding this cam?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Tony

Holley 3310 750 double pumper vacuum secondaries
The 3310 is not a double pumper, and depending on the number after the 3310 it could be a 780.
In my Omega I ran the same pistons as you with C heads and a Comp 305H cam(.540 lift) with 2 4777 Holleys. No problems with street use at all. Good throttle response. At the time I wasn't too worried about milage so I am unsure about that. The combo in your acquisition should work fine IMO.
Keep the manual brakes, engine vacuum may be too low for power brakes.

68442- not too much, that cam should be fine. It's only a 226/234 on a 110. With 9.75 or better you should have enough vacuum for p/b. While it's out you might want to check the cam timing.
They never a made a double pumper with vac secondaries, virtually impossible. It's one or the other.

Nice find though.

Thanks for the info.

Not much of a Holley person, still debating to run this carb or the Edelbrock 1407.

Can you tell I'm a converted Mopar guy?

I really don't know the history of this motor, so I was planning on rebuliding it before I put it in. Will definitely degree the cam on installation.
