Milling Heads

My GA heads have 84cc chambers. I would like to get them down to 80cc. I’m wondering if there is a general rule for the CC that will result per every .010” or .005” milled from the heads.

I remember reading somewhere that every .005 (big block) and .006 (small block) milled from the head drop chamber volume 1 cc.

.005" per cc for big Olds is the number I recall. 4cc X .005" = .020" milled off.

Discovered one head has 84cc chambers and the other head has 82cc. Should I shoot to get them to match up or does it really matter?
The reason I ask is they may not need resurfacing. But if they need resurfacing then I’ll get .010 more taken off one side.

Yes , all eight chambers should be as close in CC's as possible .
