John Wooten Automotive & Machining 2260 US-70, Hickory, NC 28602.(828) 322-4031 Talk to John Wooten. He is honest, he will tell you if he can or can not do. Wished I took my 350 to him first. Helped me with my 350. After the guys in charlotte nc, F**K it up.
Good to know. I'd drive 2 hours to find a good machinist. All the good ones around here have retired, and the ones left don't know anything but SBC.
You'd think in NASCAR-land there'd be dozens of good automotive machine shops.

Actually there are no "production" engines running in NASCAR anyway. When was the last time you saw a Toyota with a pushrod V8? Heck, when was the last time you saw a Ford with a pushrod V8? (Yeah, I know about the new truck motor...)
