Hooker Super Comps Hitting Inner Fender

I am finishing my 455 swap into my 69 Cutlass and am using super comp headers. When I went to put the driver side fender on, the inner fender hit the header that wraps around the frame. It looks like I need about an additional 1/2 clearance. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks

I had to notch my 1970 442 for that reason! I didn't care my car is a street/drag car non numbers match because of the frame being ruined in a crash before i bought it. It was broke in two both sides and right where the numbers were at the doors. I cut it up and threw it away as the front cross member was also badly bent. I may have been able to save it but the numbers would have been lost at the door area and i was afraid that someone would say i took two frames to make the numbers match with a re-stamp. I have the correct #s motor with body and my friend who witness the frame being cut up.

Thanks, my car is a resto mod as well so even though I didn't want to "notch" the inner fender as it is new, I did. Fits perfect now.
