I have a455 and dont know much about it! This is what i have on top plate above water pump 396021 On the left side below head is 36ej22322.... On back by dis it has 311 stamped on. It has a F on both sides of block. And heads have J 411-783-12 Can anybody help me out here thanks!!!!

 

I'm going to go with a 76 year 455.

Is this engine worth anything. It has a edelbrock torker intake and a points mallery dist in it.

 

and how do u tell difference if itz a 66 or a 76?

 

I don't believe they made a 455 in 66. it was a 425 big block, I believe. The casting nubers would be different, as well.

 

455s were only made between 1968 and 1976.

 

Ok so what reference source did y'all use to look this up, based on the numbers he provided?
