Hi all,
I have difficulties in getting replacement head bolts here in Germany. Online ressources (Ger & US) only offer a 2,75 inches bolt for my model (1966 Delta 88, 425cui), but apparently my heads only use 4 of these, all
other 16 are longer (4,5"), two of them even longer w. studs.
Can anybody lighten that up for me and maybe knows
another GM car that I can use as reference to order the
"long" ones?

You can order a head bolt kit here: http://www.summitracing.com/search/P...5/?Ns=Rank|Asc. The 425 and 455 share the same head bolts. The bolts with the threaded studs on top are not in this kit. They are for accessories.

 

There's nothing wrong with using factory road-tested bolts. I have literally 100's, including the boltstuds. No worries. I take Paypal and ship anywhere. I tore down so many engines I finally quit saving the rusty bolts on the exterior of the engine [exc. the shorties and the boltstuds] and so the long ones are all unrusted, pretty, and correct originals.
