I have a 72 olds Cutlass Supreme, and I am swapping the 350 for a 455. I would like to know if i can use the same motor mounts and are there headers that will work for my application. Every time I try to go find headers they say they will not fit on a cutlass supreme. Why are they different from a 442 to a cutlass supreme?

 

Yes, the motor mounts will work just fine as long as you keep the same metal perches that bolt to the crossmember. Then on the headers, this appears to be mis-information that's been around for years. The engine compartment on the Supreme is identical to the Cutlass S and 442. So when you order them just say its for a 442 with a factory 455. John
