exhaust manifolds

I want to buy some exhaust manifolds for my 71 455. Should I seek out some originals, or are the aftermarket ones good? If aftermarket are they all the same quality, or are there certain brands to buy and certain brands to stay away from? I believe the aftermarket ones are made overseas. I have heard the quality isn't as good as the originals, is this true?

You didn't say what car your 455 is in, but from the comments it sounds like your looking at the W/Z manifolds. I've not seen the repop in person, but the $299 price on ebay is not much more than buying a used set and having them sandblasted and the mating surface milled.

Back to the top. Anybody out there have personal experience with the repop's?

inline tube also has them too, but I'm sure they're the same manufacturer. I don't know that for a fact but don't think there's enough demand for more than one company to be casting these. On ebay for my location inline tube has a lower shipping costs than the Thorton auctions.

Thank you. I know where to get them, I just don't know about the quality of them. Does anyone know how they compare to originals?

The Thornton products are very high quality and the W/Z are spot on replicas
