I have a motor that is a early 60s I needed to find out what
year is if anyone knows # on the head is G 530721 I would
appreciate any help from anyone

At least a verbal description of the G 530721- where it is, what size is it, etc.

Olds "G" heads are embossed with cast in # 409100, not even close to what you cited.

 

HOW "early sixties"? Is this a 394? A 215? A 330? Is this number stamped on the end of the head? Can you post a photo of the engine?

 

I think that the G in the stamping is a '62 394. Is there a large casting number of 18, 20, or 23 on the cylinder head??

 

The number are stamp on the [passenger] right side in the center of the block just below the valve cover. On my 61 starfire its on the left side of the motor in the same place. The number are correct G 530721 at the end of the block there is number 23 The numbers to me should be on the [driver side] left side.The prefix G the same prefix as my starfire jim
