Edelbrock Intake Gaskets

Edelbrock Intake Gaskets
I may be wrong but it seems the only gaskets that remotely fit the Edelbrock 2151 intake manifold ports are their own brand of gasket because of the shape of the ports. I followed the manufacturers procedure by applying gas resistant sealer to the head side to hold it in place. I did not use any sealer on the intake side. When I took the manifold off months later, I found it had been sucking oil into the cylinders at the bottom of the ports. This was either caused by incorrect machining of the angle of the intake manifold where it meets the head or not a thick enough gasket. I didn't want to use ATV on the intake side of the gasket because most are not safe with gasoline. I think 2 thickness's of gasket would have worked or are there better gaskets available?
Thanks,
Randy

I found that when using an aluminum intake and composition gasket that the bolts had to be re-torqued every month or so as they kept loosening. I think this was due to the aluminum expanding when hot and slightly crushing the gasket. After 4 or 5 re-torque cycles it has been OK for many years.
