double roller timing chain interference w/ fuel pump

My cloyes double roller timing chain will not allow my fuel pump arm to make contact with the eccentric. Do I have to use a single roller chain?

I'm pretty sure it should work with the double roller timing chain. Just to be sure your putting it in the right way. Do you have the fuel lines on the top or bottom of the fuel pump when your putting it in? Olds is opposite of Chevy so this is a mistake sometimes made. John

Most every rebuilt Olds motor has a double roller chain with no interference with the fuel pump arm.

Cloyes Double Roller

I installed a Cloyes double roller set with no issues on my '68 400CID.

I thought I had a better picture of the installation showing the whole pump and both gears, but do not. Below you can see the installed set.
