D.U.I. vs GM HEI distributor

Does anybody have experience with D.U.I. distributors? I have a GM HEI that needs to be gone through and set up for my car. Friend told me just get a new unit from D.U.I. and have them set it up, the price is about double from what I was quoted to clean up/rebuild my GM distributor and re-curve.
Is the D.U.I. distributor worth the money?

Stick to the HEI. You can get replacement parts anywhere, they are reliable, and they work well. Why spend more money?

If it's the same quality as mine and NOT offshore its Bulletproof. I have been running a Daves 50K HEI dist for the last 25 years. Solid unit. 8mm Taylor Spiral Cores, low ohm coil bushing, and Autolites.

The dui's are hand built in memphis. Best money can buy imo. I run one flawlessly on my sbo.

I'd love to know where they're getting their parts from. No-one else seems to have a Made-In-USA distributor available.

How much USA content does it take to get an item labeled "Made In USA"?
