Wow

What did they DO to this poor H/O carb?
Blocked the secondaries, and made it into a Hot Air Choke 260 carb?
REALLY?!?!

Sure looks like a fabricated 260 carb. I've actually been looking for one of the original 260 Dual Jets with the secondaries cast closed as a conversation piece.

I have one of these carbs that looks like a Quad but where the secondaries should be is solid cast on top but open below that. It is not a blockoff plate like the one in the Ebay ad above. I always wondered what this carb came off of. I had showed it to several guys and nobody new what it came off of.

On my 260, they just had a different hat that said "dualjet" on it in the place of the secondary choke, completely left out the butterflies. Joe, I'm sorry, but that carb made it to the scrap pile almost 10 years ago...haha

laughed at that one
No, the stamp and it looks like the throttle arm [short cable peg] and maybe the entire base are still '68 H/O compatible.
Resurrect it with proper parts into a real 7028251.
Not at $350 for a parts carb though.
Oh, and NOS is -not- the same as rebuilt by Delco/ Frankencarb.
I have 1 or two of these cores - the original faux 4-bbl- in the stash. Came on the first 260's I believe- on the A1 or A2 intake.
See intake pix thread here for details.
