Pretty cool pics gerald. Can someone mansplain the black car w green edlebrock valves covers, are those carbs? Or something else?

The Rochester Model AA "turtleback" 2bbl carb, used on the 1949-50 Olds 303s. That engine above has two of them on an aftermarket manifold, with inlet adapters to allow the air filter to be on the side instead of in back. Here's one in it's natural habitat.

I recognize that Vortech supercharged engine. I parked next to that car at one of the annual All Olds Car Shows.

I love that shot of the 303 with the twin Rochester two barrels on the Edmunds manifold .
