Blown 455

New to this forum. Just picked up a 69 455 auto Cutlass. Frame off baby. Always wanted a puffer car. More for looks than real racing, guess I'm getting old, but 380 hp already is good enough. Has anyone here put a blower setup on a 455? If so which brand did you use? Gary Dyer isn't too fat from me and he has a 455 setup. looking for inputs

Hello Rick and Welcome!

I can't see your pics unfortunately.

As for blower setups, I am working on a Procharger setup that has already been mostly engineered but isn't being marketed for sale....and there is the Torqstorm kit, and then finally the Dyer blower kit. Out of all of them, the Dyer kit is the most expensive and probably the most fun at a car show, but also the least drivable in bad weather because it will be sticking out of the hood.

The centrifugal superchargers are far easier to package underhood, as well as far easier to rig up your belts and pulleys, and the power potential is higher than the blower setup in the long run, with less HP loss on a centrifugal vs. a Blower.
