Hey, I've purchased a 54'' postive battery cable to swap out. Does anyone know what length was original?....71 cutlass- auto tranny.

Just curious, didn't find it in the CSM and it was a bazzilion years ago since i was last there. Anyways... I'll be installing a new solenoid and header gaskets this week. Hoping not to expect any problems.

Looks like you're pretty close. 1974 parts manual calls for 53" positive cable for all engines 1971 A-body. OE part # is 8907374.

Negative is 8907370 for six and 350, 8904504 for 4200-4800 series with 455. Doesn't give those lengths.
