Is this oil pump drive rod due for replacement??

It may not even be an Olds Part
I found it in a long overdue rummage thru stuff and cleanout last night, in a bag with a few other crusty old parts. Other end is pointy like it was made into a center punch. Ford part maybe? I would assume the oil pump seized tight- what else could do that?

Just an interesting dead part now.
