alternator brackets.

I was wondering if people could post up photos of their stock alternator brackets as I put a BBO in my olds, but need the alternator on the RHS of the motor.

I ended up making a bracket with the thought I would redo it later to something better, well that time has come.

So I'm chasing photos of the stock brackets to see if I can duplicate that, as I won't find one here in Australia so will have to make one, or bring one in , which is costly. I guessing that like most makes, there were many and varied brackets over the years, so looking to see what they were to choose one that suit me.

thanks in advance for your help.

Actually, not. The alternator brackets for non-A/C applications were pretty much unchanged from 1965-76.

Here are the parts:

And here's an installed picture:

Here are a couple of crusty pictures showing the bottom bracket and how it bolts to the head above the fuel pump:

FYI, Google Images is your friend...

Thanks Joe,

I had actually used google images for my search but wasn't sure on all the options. I had seen the top bracket, but not the bottom. what I made mirrors the bottom bracket, but I might see if I can find one of those. I do have a top bracket and the second piece, but not the bottom so that makes sense now. Top part is pretty ugly really.

thanks.

Good luck. To quote Woody Allen, "they usually travel in pairs."
