air tubes..
when i remove the air tubes from the heads do i need to do anything special other than plug the holes?
cleaning up all the junk under the hood, then giving it a bath and probably some paint. looks horrible atm

Oh! You posted this in the big block forum...I was thinking you were talking about a heat riser or something.
Aren't those the EGR tubes? I think you can get away with just plugging them. Are you removing the valve as well?

well i've kept my a/c just ran a shorter belt (omitted air pump still on car just not in use), i have no cat and no air tube there anymore, the tube that goes into the air cleaner from the air pump is plugged ATM which is basically doing what removing those air injector tubes would do except it's very cluttered. there's a few vacuum tubes that will need re-routed it looks like to keep the cruise and a/c...... i think i read somewhere that the are tubes down inside the head itself that block the exhaust flow...... i basically wanna keep the ccc carb and dist but remove all the extra emissions crap i dont need....will make future work on this motor easier especially for when i go to do the valve covers and springs.
and yes i realized i had clicked big block after i already posted.....oops no harm done though ........ not to confuse anyone but the 307 is a small block. =p would appreciate this being moved to small block forum.
