7040257 or 7040251 Carburetor
Hello,


I have a 1970 442 with AC and Ramair, and when I bought the car it came with a 7040251 carburetor. Is this the correct carburetor for my car or should I try to find 7040257?

The 7040257 would be correct for a 70 442 with automatic.

Thanks for the quick reply what would the 704251 be off of? It is a really nice core without any thread damage

The 7040251 would be off of any Cutlass, 88, or 98 with a 455 4 bbl. No 442s and I don't think any Toronado's.
