'70 442 Oil Dipstick Tube

Hello,
Bought a new engine oil dipstick tube from on Inline Tube. Exact dimensions...but still loose in the hole on the block any thoughts?
All dimension on (new one) the 3 dimples to press fit were within .003" on the fat side. The old one was bent and was a pain to check the oil.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps the dipstick tube had broken off flush at one point and the mechanic reamed the hole oversized. Then installed the new tube intentionally bent to swage it in the block. Any sealant on the old tube? Pics might help folks troubleshoot the problem.

How loose is it? On the last tube I installed, I sanded down the bump so it was an easy slip fit, wrapped Teflon tape around the bump area, then jammed it into the block. It fits snugly but I can easily remove it if necessary.
